Budget Travel: Save $100's Every Time You Go On Vacation!

This ebook is targeted at anyone who wants to travel as much as they can without draining their bank account. Travel does not have to be something you save for all year, it can be something you can afford at least two weeks a each year (or more!).

My first European trips were as a result of careful spending for six months: no magazines, no lattes each morning, and careful planning on when to go and where to stay. I also took my available cash, divided it into the amount of days I was travelling, and stayed within that budget. I never travel with credit cards so there is no shock when returning home.

Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel
Rolf Potts
This is more an inspirational and philosophical work rather than a practical guide. He includes quotes and ancedotes from other famous world travelers. Practical information is easier found in other books. To my family, travel is as necessary as breathing, whereas many people just don't care (which to me means they don't understand). He includes a section on working for travel.
