July 20, 2007
I signed up to become a Referring Travel Agent some months ago and
then paid little attention to the benefits and the process.
However, I recently used the system to make my own reservations for
a European vacation. I booked one of the lowest airfare rates available
from San Francisco to Rome and then booked a hotel in Rome, only to
realize that I get a percentage of the hotel rate as my Referring
Travel Agent fee.
Then I went to the Marin meeting in San Rafael on July 11, 2007, and
heard success stories from people I considered extremely low key,
including the woman that introduced YTB to me. She couldn't be a more
gentle and mild person, yet she has encouraged more than 30 people
to be a part of YTB to take advantage of the benefits and reap the
rewards.
Her success has inspired me to reach out again to friends and family
to encourage them to look at this opportunity.

| Why
and How to Become a Travel Agent |
Travel like an expert while saving thousands of dollars.
My first trip out of the U.S. was as a travel agent when I was offered
a week in London for $44 (airport tax). The $44 included round-trip
airfare from San Francisco to London and one week in a newly refurbished
hotel near Kensington Gardens. This was a "Fam Cap" trip,
which are offered to agents so enable them to familiarize themselves
about a location with the anticpation that you recommend that location
to clients. Even if your travel is business-related
only, you will save on airfare, hotels, car rentals, etc.

Our family goal is to visit every major port in the world—just for the pure pleasure of doing so, and to follow the paths our family travelled as ship captains in the 1800s. We have unxpectedly come across links in Hawaii, Northern Ireland, Wales, New Zealand, Australia, Central America, America's Eastern Seaboard States and various cities in California. Expedia.com guarantees the lowest prices. They are worth considering.
